Altman Communications is a professional copywriting and marketing consultancy run by myself, Leon Altman. I started Altman Communications in 1995 after working as a copywriter and creative director at top ad agencies, and as marketing communications director for a trade magazine.
A brief history
I started as a copywriter approximately 30 years ago at Wunderman, the top direct response agency in the world, writing for clients such as Met Life and Time magazine.

Since then I've worked with major agencies and companies, as a copywriter, associate creative director, and creative director. Agencies have included Young&Rubicam; BBDO; DDB/Needham; and Saatchi. I've worked on many top accounts, such as Time Magazine, Johnson&Johnson, Merrill Lynch, Coldwell Banker Amgen, and GlaxoSmithKline.
After heading up marketing communications for the launch of Buyside Magazine (for institutional investors), I became a freelance writer and consultant, and started Altman Communications.
